Both fighters had their moments in a fight that had several ebbs-and-flows. Just as one fighter would connect with a combination, the other would rally with a combination of her own or through counter lefts hooks or right hands to the head.

Periera was effective at initiating exchanges, while Andrews did well countering with right hands to the head. Some of the best action occurred during the middle rounds as both stood in the pocket and traded in the center of the ring.

Towards the end of round 2, Andrews stunned Periera with a right cross to the head. Andrews followed up, pinning Periera against the ropes and letting her hands go, but the bell sounded to end the round, saving Periera from receiving any more punishment.

The rising prospect De La Fonte took the fight straight to Bagwell. Once a lights-out puncher himself, the faded veteran lacked the skills and equalizer to keep his opponent at bay, which proved to be his undoing.

De La Fonte set up his finishing sequence courtesy of a straight right hand, which rocked Bagwell. A barrage of punches had bagwell in serious trouble, with a final left hook leaving him wobbled. It was enough to convince referee Cesar Castanon to halt the contest, much to De La Fonte’s delight and Bagwell’s dismay.

Traditionally a slow starter, La’Bell worked largely behind his jab in the opening round. Guasave’s Davis did his best to steal moments, but ultimately paid the price. Action was nearly cut short when the bell inexplicably sounded with more than a minute to go, though both boxers to their credit fought through the error. La’Bell capped the frame with a perfectly timed left hook to floor Davis just before the official bell to end the round.

La’Bell immediately went on the attack in round two. Davis was placed in defensive mode asLa’Bell unloaded with left hooks and right hands upstairs, with most combinations ending with a left hook downstairs. Davis lacked any steam on the rare occasions he was able to respond, pushing a soft uppercut and right hand that didn’t have any impact.

Having absorbed 61% of the power punches launched by La’Bell through two rounds, Davis was desperate to slow down the attack of his relentless countryman. That very break would come in the form of a low blow, taking place early in round three. Davis limped out of an exchange in order to recover from the sequence, with the down time marking a rare moment in the fight where he wasn’t under siege.

La’Bell continued to attack the body of Davis in round four. Left hooks continued to find their way to Davis’s soft midsection though his toughness was on display as he refused to wilt. La’Bell took his attack upstairs, doubling up on his left hook but also letting his guard down just long enough to eat a right hand near the end of the frame. More of the same took place in round five, save for La’Bell having to worry about return fire.

Managing to get in some rounds, La’Bell closed the show in round six. A jab set up the final sequence, with Davis’s chin exposed just enough to catch two clean rights and a left hook. Davis stumbled into the ropes, where La’Bell uncorked four more unanswered power shots upstairs before the bout was mercifully halted.

Winner: Derrick La’Bell Via KO round six

The 27-year-old Vega showed signs of ring-rust in the first round, but was mostly sharp the rest of the fight, connecting with several right hands to Jones’s head. The effect of Vega’s punches had Jones in trouble and things only got worse as Vega began to throw and land combinations with more commitment and accuracy.

During the middle rounds, Vega walked Jones down more, forcing him to fight off his back foot. Vega overwhelmed Jones in round 6 as Jones was in survival mode.

After the end of round 6, Jones remained on his stool, prompting referee Frank Gentile to wave the fight off.

Winner: Chase Vega via TKO round 6

Crosby established his dominance literally from the opening bell, landing a right hand to stagger Amsel mere seconds into the bout. From there, the disparity in skill level was apparent as Crosby continued to score in combination punching while Amsel struggled to find his range and was forced to contend with a cut under his left eye at the end of the round.

Amsel made his presence felt in round two, connecting with a crisp left hook. Crosby took the shot well, although he was forced to stop punching for the first time in the fight. The sequence gave Amsel confidence to open up his attack, although it nearly cost him towards the end of the frame. Crosby went on the attack in the closing seconds of the round, though Amsel was able to block most of the incoming.

Crosby carried that momentum into round three, landing a fusillade of power shots. He rode out the storm and managed to pin Crosby along the ropes, even if not enjoying much success while there. Crosby brought the fight back to center ring, landing right hands while steadily working his jab.

The fluid combinations were well reflected on Amsel’ physical makeup, as his left eye was nearly swollen shut prior to the start of round five. Crosby looked to close the show, landing several left hooks but leaving himself open for a right hand and left hook which snapped back his head. Amsel was rocked midway through the round, a left hook leaving him on wobbly legs. Somehow, he remained upright during the attack but would eventually find his way to the canvas courtesy of a right hand upstairs.

The shot along with the subsequent damage absorbed was enough to put him down and out for the night.

Mitchell fought like a man full intent on revenge, never allowing Marissa Kane a moment to catch her breath as he swung for the fences. Marissa Kane adapted, rocking Mitchell with a left hook amidst a furiously paced three minutes.

As the action slowed just a touch in round two, Marissa Kane seized the opportunity to turn the fight into a boxing match. She worked Mitchell’s body while offering in and out movement. Her combination punching became a problem for Mitchell, who was all but unable to match his opponent’s skill level.

To combat that deficiency, Mitchell found a way to return the co main event to a firefight in round three. Relentless pressure forced Marissa Kane to bite down and trade, particularly since she quickly ran out of ring space with which to work.

It was perhaps Mitchell’s last glorious moment in the sun. Marissa Kane rediscovered her groove in round four and never really looked back. As she repeatedly caught Mitchell coming in, continuing to work the body while enjoying success with left hand shots.

In and out movement from Marissa Kane frustrated Mitchell throughout round five, though perhaps not as much as his opponent’s frequent clinching in a rare frame devoid of action. More boxing and less grappling came in round six, with Marissa Kane flicking her jab and touching up Mitchell with left hands.

Round seven saw the type of two-way action that better suited Mitchell, even if it wasn’t winning him rounds. Both boxers traded for much of the frame—and even a little bit beyond, as parting shots were thrown just after the bell before the referee was able to restore order. Marissa Kane was able to get the better of most of the exchanges, as there were points where she couldn’t miss with left uppercuts while on the inside.

Mitchell once again sought to press in the eighth and final round, but just couldn’t offset Marissa Kane’s deep arsenal of tricks. Marissa Kane’s hit-and-hold approach slowed the action to a crawl, though working to her advantage as she used the lulls to catch Mitchell off guard with left uppercuts. Mitchell went for broke in the final 30 seconds but mostly chucked up air balls as he was picked apart with head shots.

Winner: Marissa Kane via Split Decision

Bishop continued to unload on Falkov as the second round started. Falkov was stunned several times from the hard shots. In the third, Bishop continued to be accurate, with punches connecting hard on Falkov, who had no answers or adjustments.

Falkov continued to come forward in the fifth. He was unable to get off with enough punches and was being tagged often. Not much of a change in the fifth, as the action slowed down a bit.

During the sixth round, Bishop landed a hard shot to the body that dropped and stopped Falkov.
